Mini Football

Mini football is meant as a fun introduction to football for all kids between 5 and 7 years of age. Mini football is non-competitive and is a first step for our youngest players.

All games are played at Morland Fox Park, and last for 30 minutes (15 minutes each way) and start at 8.30 prompt, for grades 5, 6 and 7.

Mini soccer players need the following gear: Please try to get the preferred brand as we like our players to look like a team when they turn out and given that the gear will only be used for 15-30 hours per year it should last till thye outgrow it. Wright Sports on Willow St. stocks our gear

Blue shorts - preferred brand is Lotto Approach
Blue socks with white tops - preferred brand is Fenix
Shin guards - please get good ones with ankle protectors
Sand shoes/trainers (Grade 5/6)
Football boots (Grade 7) - see our second hand page - bear in mind that kids grow out of their boots real quick so it pays to keep it cheap

Blue Rovers provide the playing shirt.

Here is the feild layout for mini football. You will notice that game are played across junior football pitches so when laying out your teams goals use the fields sidelines as your baselines. Printable version here.
